The training of large AI models, high-performance computing, and next-generation data centers place increasingly higher demands on bandwidth and thermal management. With its high bandwidth, robust thermal management, and stable long-distance transmission, the OSFP 800G 500m optical module has become a core hardware solution for high-density computing interconnects, widely supporting 800G Ethernet, AI clusters, and intelligent computing center scenarios.

This module features an OSFP hot-swappable package with top-mounted open-air heat sinks, delivering excellent thermal efficiency. It reliably supports a maximum power consumption of 16W, is compatible with liquid cooling and high-density computing cabinets, and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, meeting the demands of demanding data center environments. Technologically, it is based on an 8×100G×PAM4 parallel channel architecture operating at a 1310nm wavelength, enabling transmission distances of up to 500 meters via single-mode fiber. It features dual MPO-12/APC interfaces and supports DDM for real-time monitoring of key parameters such as optical power and temperature, facilitating more convenient operation and maintenance.

 

The product strictly adheres to IEEE 802.3ck, OSFP MSA, and CMIS 5.2 protocols, ensuring excellent compatibility. It can be directly deployed in 800G Ethernet links while also supporting 2×400G DR4 or 8×100G DR1 split-path applications, offering flexible adaptation for both existing network upgrades and new infrastructure deployments. Compared to QSFP-DD, the OSFP form factor provides superior thermal management and room for evolution to 1.6T, making it more suitable for AI training clusters, GPU server clusters, and cross-rack interconnections in leaf-spine networks.

 

In practical deployments, this solution leverages the advantages of 500-meter single-mode short-to-medium-range transmission to balance transmission distance and cost, addressing the pain points of insufficient coverage with traditional short-range modules and the excessive cost of long-range solutions. It offers an excellent balance of power consumption and density, meeting the low-latency and high-reliability requirements of intelligent computing centers. The product has obtained multiple certifications, including ISO 9001, CE, RoHS, and FCC, ensuring stable quality and making it suitable for large-scale deployment in data center interconnects, high-performance computing, and AI computing platform construction.
